This is a great example of a game that feels very interactive on Wii but more like button mashing on every other console. In combat and in travel the game keeps players moving thus increasing the interactivity and excitement of the game. To dodge players flick the nunchuck and aerial attacks are initiated by jumping (Z Button) and flicking the Wiimote down.

Motion based combat is handled through a combination of light attacks (moving the Wiimote to the right and left) and strong attacks (A Button).

The motion mimics the way Spider-man actually flings himself through the city and allows for specific control of where each hand fires the web. Players flick their wrist and hit the B or Z Button to web swing using either hand.

Web slinging is the Wii's main control advantage.

The control differences are so vastly different for Spider-man 3 on Wii that the quality of the game is changed drastically. The Breakdown: Wii and PS2 Spider-man 3 are content identical. This is a nifty addition to the gameplay as long as you don't mind the blatant contradiction with the storyline from the movie.

To take the suit off players must enter a string of button commands and the input gets tougher with every use of the suit. Leaving the suit on for too long results in a loss of health.

On PS2 and Wii the black suit is available at any time to give spidey a boost in health and strength.

Both the PS2 and Wii boast extra missions featuring the 'Bonus Villains' Morbius and Shriek.

However, some extra features have been thrown into the mix in addition to the Wiimote functionality that we'll describe in greater detail in the controls section.

I know, I just stated that we aren't comparing these versions to the PS3 and 360. Instead we'll take a look at how the same game changes with radically different control schemes. How do 360 and PS3 compare to Wii and PS2? Well the scores speak for themselves, and the titles are too different to warrant a comparison in the head-to-head format. While you still play as the web slinger, the gameplay, missions, graphics, and controls are completely different.
